What we counted
OfferMagnet reads postings from company careers pages and job boards. We kept postings located in France, first seen between 19 September and 30 October 2026: 1,964 distinct postings from 314 employers.
- In France: the country is France and the location names France, a French city or region, or is empty on a French board. Offices in Berlin, London or New York on a French company's board are removed.
- English or French: title plus description is split into words. If English function words (the, and, of, you, our) outnumber French ones (le, de, des, nous, vous) by 1.3 to 1 and make up 8% of the words, it is English, and the reverse for French. We checked 10 of each by eye and all 20 were right.
- Requires English: a French-language posting that says anglais courant, professionnel, bilingue, opérationnel, impératif, maîtrise de l'anglais, a C1 or B2 level, or similar. We checked 15 matches by eye. Phrases like "no English needed" are skipped.
- Set aside: Mistral AI, Alan and Doctolib, the three employers with the most postings, are left out of the share tables.
What to do with this
- Search full-time roles on company careers pages. That is where the English postings are: 79.4% of full-time versus 0.1% of freelance.
- Start in Paris, then add remote. 86.5% of English postings are Paris-area, and outside Paris most are "Anywhere in France" remote.
- Open French postings too if you speak good English. One in five asks for it, and 276 of those are freelance missions.
- Check the language of the whole posting. A company may post some roles in English and others in French, like Qonto and Doctolib.

Method and sources
- Source: OfferMagnet's own index of public job postings, 1,964 distinct postings in France from 314 employers, first seen 19 Sep to 30 Oct 2026. Descriptions are cut at 4,000 characters, so counts from text are a floor.
- Language: share of English versus French function words in title plus description; English if it is at least 1.3 times the French share and at least 8% of words. 10 English and 10 French postings were checked by eye.
- Requires English: a French-language posting with a phrase like anglais courant, professionnel, bilingue, opérationnel, impératif or a C1 or B2 level; 15 matches were checked by eye.
- Paris area means Paris, Île-de-France and its suburbs by location text. Role families come from title keywords and are rough. We report posting counts, not people, and use no applicant or customer data.
