OfferMagnet is published by LIMED. This page says what the iPhone app and the website do with your information.
On iPhone
When you add a resume, the app reads its text on your device to find your skills. The file is not uploaded. Your resume text, targets (role, pay, visa, places), tailored resumes and application tracker are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's protected storage. We don't receive them and we don't sell them.
Job listings are public postings the app downloads directly from the job-board services companies use for their career pages (such as Greenhouse, Ashby and Lever). Nothing about you or your resume is sent with those requests. Scoring and tailoring run on your device.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history, never your name, email or resume.
On the web
The website needs an account so your matches, documents and applications follow you between devices. We store:
- Your email address, to sign you in.
- The text of your resumes, cover letters and other documents, and the skills found in them, to match jobs and fill application forms. Files are read in your browser and are not uploaded.
- What you're looking for (roles, contracts, countries, pay, remote, visa), your applications with their history and what was sent, and your tailored resumes.
- What application forms ask for: your name, phone, links, work authorization, and, if you target the United States and choose to answer, the voluntary self-identification questions (gender, race or ethnicity, veteran and disability status). These are stored only to fill forms, never used for matching, and you can clear them from Settings at any time.
- Your auto-apply preferences: whether it's on, the daily cap, and which resume language to send.
This data is stored with Supabase (EU region) and is only readable by your account. When you ask for a tailored resume, your resume text and the posting are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write it. Anthropic doesn't use API data to train its models. Payments are handled by Whop; we never see your card.
When auto-apply submits an application, the documents and answers that form asks for are sent to that employer through its careers page, and from then on the employer handles them under its own policy.
Your email (optional)
You can let OfferMagnet read your job email so it can enter security codes that application forms send you, see confirmations and rejections, and show you replies from recruiters. There are two ways, and you choose:
- Connect Gmail. You sign in with Google and grant read-only access (the
gmail.readonlypermission). We can't send, delete or change anything in your mailbox. We search only for messages about job applications (for example “application”, “interview”, “security code”), read those, and keep only the ones that are a security code, an application confirmation, a rejection, or a person replying about an application. Everything else is skipped and never stored. - Forward your mail. You ask Gmail to forward a copy of incoming mail to your personal OfferMagnet address. Mail arrives through Resend, our email provider. We keep only the job emails described above and discard the rest on arrival.
For each job email we keep the sender, subject, date, a short excerpt (at most 300 characters), the company, and the code if there is one. We use them only to run your applications and show them to you in your dashboard. Your Google access is stored encrypted. Job emails are never sent to AI providers, never used for advertising, never sold, never used to train AI models, and no person at OfferMagnet reads them unless you ask us to for support.
Disconnect at any time in Settings: we revoke our Google access and delete the emails we kept. You can also remove access from your Google Account under Security, Third-party apps. To stop forwarding, remove the address in Gmail's forwarding settings, or press “Stop” in Settings and we'll drop anything still sent to it.
OfferMagnet's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Usage analytics
In the iPhone app, Microsoft Clarity runs only if you say yes: we ask once, and you can switch it off any time in Profile. With it on, it records anonymous interactions to show which screens are used and where things are confusing. Recording pauses on the resume, tailored resume and notes screens, and text you type is masked, so Clarity never receives your resume. If you say no, nothing is recorded. On the website, Clarity runs by default, with text you type, your resume, profile and email masked. The website also loads the LinkedIn Insight Tag on our public pages (never inside your dashboard), so we can see which LinkedIn ads bring visitors and sign-ups; LinkedIn receives the page address and its own cookie, not your resume or profile. You can switch both off below; the choice is kept in this browser.
Deleting your data
On iPhone: Profile, then Delete all my data. Deleting the app does the same. On the web: Settings, then Delete all my data. To delete your account and email too, write to us.
